In the common room, one might notice a brand new sign. Not too far from it, two students. A tall and lanky young man (though he's almost in his 30s), with brown hair and gray eyes, and a small dark-haired young lady are sitting by a desk and chatting a touch feverishly.

The sign?

Victoria is only beginning to settle, but she would love to make herself useful. She's absolutely willing to try almost anything new, as long as it takes her mind off the fact that she had King there, with her, and has lost him; that she had success and fame and glamour, and no she's only your next woman.

"I beg your pardon, may I speak with you when you're done?" Politely, but slightly unpatiently.

Zillah looks over at her. "We can talk now, if you'd like. You're not interrupting anything."

Changing my tag, haha! only_paul July 5 2010, 05:00:27 UTC
Paul laughs a little, nudges Zillah companionably, and smiles at Victoria.

"You're interrupting a lot of waiting," he replies with what is his unique brand of dorky humor.

"It's perfectly alright."

"Oh. Alright then. I would like to know how this works," Victoria says with determination in her voice. "I'd like to offer my services, but your own offer interests me as well."

"Well, you can sign up, for either being a student or a teacher, or both! And you can think about what classes you want to take or teach."

"There's actually only one thing I can teach," Victoria continues in the same blunt manner, "and that's singing. I can sing - I can teach gifted people how to improve their singing, should they be interested in it."

Changing the order, if that's alright with everyone? Ad/Paul/Zillah? (also my tag, because I fail) only_paul July 12 2010, 21:28:46 UTC
Paul smiles a little. "That sounds great, in fact," he says, smiling. "Would you be interested in teaching musical theory as well?"

I thought the toilet excuse was in this thread, 1000 apologies. >.>

"Yeah, that'd be cool!" Zillah agrees.

Victoria thinks for a few moments, then nods. "I'm not sure I have all the proper notions," she explains. "But I noticed that there are books here - surely I can get some inspiration from the library whenever it's needed."

"Certainly," Paul replies. "The catalog is very expansive. Besides, I'm sure you remember your own lessons and already know more than the lambda citizen, if you are a singer by trade..."

"Yeah, the library here is great," Zillah says, nodding.

Not that Victoria has learned too many things theoretically. She has her own notions of how music can be "taught".

"Well, then." She shrugs. "Where do I sign?"

I am so sorry, guys - I missed this completely >.> only_paul August 3 2010, 05:31:50 UTC
Paul grins, "Oh, we have nothing as formal as that," he replies. "But I'll take your name down, and information as to how to reach you, if you don't mind."

She nods. "Yeah, it's informal, which I think is a good thing. It's very relaxed."

"Of course I don't mind," Victoria answers Paul, then nods friendly in Zillah's direction. "Just let me know when and where should I come, and I'll make sure to get something ready till then."

She'll also give them her full name and indications on how to reach her room.

Paul smiles. "Don't worry, Ms. Grant. You will be kept informed. We'll post a schedule on the board."

And did I accidentally drop Adrian's thread on this post?
