A tall, pale, blond man steps through the front door, and pauses. As he looks around his movements and gestures are stiff, his facial expressions limited. He turns to look out the door behind him, then takes another look around the room. This is certainly not where he was before, and when he attempts to wirelessly connect to Mr. Stark's ( Read more... )

D'Eon reads a lot. He always preferred more scholarly pursuits over the adventures Lia tended toward. So sometime later if JARVIS comes through the main room, he can find D'Eon trying to read by the dying light from a window rather than get up to find the lightswitch to turn on the room's lights.

Jarvis's optics probably work sufficently well in low light, but when he enters the room and sees someone there trying to read, he takes a moment to figure out the lights and turns them on. He gives D'Eon a nod if he looks over as Jarvis goes to look out of the window, not wanting to disturb the man if he's absorbed in his book. He's trying to determine what part of the world they may be in, if they are in fact in the world as he knew it.

D'Eon glances up, blinking, as the light comes on. "Oh, thank you... I hadn't realized it was so dark." Until it wasn't.

"Were you looking for something to read?"

"I was just learning the layout of the building." He's never had to read a book before, though he supposes he could.

"Oh, well, it's pretty large. I don't think you'll have a lot of luck making the upper floors make sense." He sets his book aside and stands, stretching. The old-fashioned nature of his attire might be more obvious then.

"I'm quite good at directions," he says, noting the old-fashioned clothing but not remarking on it. He doesn't yet realize the full extent of the mansion's oddities.

"I think it changes though." It has since he's arrived, at least a little. "I don't know how."

"Interesting, I will keep that in mind." How that's even possible Jarvis has no idea, but he supposes he'll find out. "Thank you."
