At some point, perhaps walking in a hallway, she may meet a tall, slim young man with mussed brown hair and violet eyes that look at her with a mix of compassion and friendliness. "Hey there, did you just get here, miss? I can't say I've seen you before here," he says, friendly and welcoming.

Tsuzuki sensed her nature almost before he spotted the new girl, and though he can sense a certain kinship in her -- he can't tell the particulars, but people who have suicided always have a certain resonance for him -- he keeps this to himself, till she's ready to open up about it.

His weird-looking cousin should be along shortly...

While looking high and low for Light, she'll bump into the man along the hallway. "I'm sorry!" She'll exclaim.

He almost stumbles over backwards when she bumps into him. "Whoops! Quite all right! No harm done, trust me!" He gets a better look at her and his usual young guy awkward fondness of pretty girls kicks in. "You okay? I hope I didn't ruffle your dress; that's... that's quite an outfit you have."

What pretty eyes, I could never pull of purple contacts like that. "You like my dress? Thank you! I got it at one of favorite shops in Harajuku. I've had this dress for ages actually..."

"It's great: I can remember when the Gothic look first came across the Pacific. I won't say it's getting a bit old, but you really rock it well," he says, grinning with delight. "I'm Asato Tsuzuki, but just call me Tsuzuki," he adds, bowing to her.

"Seriously?" She can't quite explain it, but she really likes this dude. "It's nice to meet you too. What is this place?"

"Well, they call it the Mansion: I don't think it has any other name. I thought it was some section of the afterlife when I first got here, but the spirit energy isn't the same. Plus there's a mix of people from everywhere, not just the departed," he replies. He just hopes this doesn't go too far over her head. She's recently passed, and that alone is enough of a shock to her.

Misa looks at him any other way. "I see."

"It's a nice place, trust me on that: there's plenty of room for everyone, the kitchen's always got good food waiting in the fridge or the cupboards. There's a library full of books," he says. "We've even got our own resident fashion designer, a gal named Favrielle: bet you two would get along great. Are you a model, by any chance? You got the poise and the look for it."

Misa wants to squeal, a fashion designer in this place? She had tons of designer friends, but none that lived under the same roof. "Yes I am, those purple eyes are good."

"Great, maybe you two can work together: she's a little tough, but she's s good person who just likes make sure everything's done right," he says.

Then with a blush and a slightly uncomfortable glance away, he adds, "Oh, mine? Thanks... they, ah, get me a lot of compliments..."

"What is your real eye color? I've never seen a guy who pulls off purple contacts so well..."

"Oh, ah, well... this is my natural color," he says, only wishing they were contacts. And inwardly bracing himself for some uncomfortable reaction...

"They're beautiful. Like jewels..."

"Oh, ah, why... thanks," he sputters, blushing and looking away to hide the note of nervousness. Hearing his eyes compared to jewels just makes him think of someone with a mellow, seductive voice murmuring to him about how much his eyes resemble amethysts...

Changing the subject, he asks, "So, what brought you to this place?"

Misa looks puzzled for moment. Why is this guy so sensitive about his pretty eyes?

"I'm following someone."
