Ines pauses, observing - she's at this point accepted that things will be more than odd here. It's the afterlife, after all.

She's wickedly amused by what Gellert is doing - and simply enjoying the show, for now.

[OOC: Aaaand someone new for a change - she's blunt, rude, and enjoys it. Have fun?]

Right now he is forming a row of trees with his wand; a forest, again all sparkling with magic. He looks at it then wipes it away as if changing his mind about something.

[ooc: He does need to meet more people! :)]

It's like he's basically a painter, but without a canvas, she muses.

"It wasn't to your taste?" Ines ventures it without introduction. Meh. But she's intrigued, and has generally not got on well with the majority of people she's met. While she doesn't care to be loved, she feels a certain need for... something.

He glances around. "No, it wasn't quite what I wanted it to be."

He looks her over. "We haven't met, have we?" I am Gellert Grindelwald," he bows in one smooth, light motion. Not at all stiff, even if it seems to be politely old-fashioned.

She tilts her head and looks at him curiously. German. Or rather, Prussian. Interesting.

"Ines Serrano," she replies. "We never met."

[Ines is from the period between WWI and WWII. XD ]

"Lovely to meet you. Have you been here very long?" He looks curiously back at her.

[And he's from 1900 and wouldn't know much about those wars even if he was from later, as he didn't have that much to do with the non-wizarding world (he only noticed there was some chaos going on at the time!). And... if she mentions Prussia to him, she may be in for a surprise since he's Bavarian, which is quite the opposite. XD]

"It's a matter of perspective," she replies. This kid amuses her. "Long for some, not long for others. It probably doesn't matter much. And you?"

[This is true! Ines being a postal clerk, she probably has some inkling of geography - better than her typist's grasp of history, anyway. XD]

"Some months," he's amused too by her answer. "I've been around but I've been busy so I haven't seen many people for a little while."

"Busy? That's a wonder." She laughs, delightedly. "How can anyone be busy here?"

"I explore. I look around," he shrugs as if that was enough to occupy anybody's time.

"Sounds like a terrible bore - though I'd add public entertainment, with what you've been doing there."

"I should do this more often then. Or something much better," he grins.

"Even better? I'd like to see that," she replies, still observing him curiously.

He's hard to place, this one.

"So what would you like to see?" He teases slightly.

"I suppose I would be curious to see the most -- peculiar thing you can do? I'm sorry, I'm in fact not used to this sort of thing."

Her behavior is odd and different. Then again, Ines is impressed by Gellert, which is not a common thing for her.

"Peculiar for one operson may not be peculiar for another..," he points out, thinking over what he could do.

Then he glances at her. "May I borrow a lock of your hair?"
