It wouldn't be a normal day at the Mansion without its copious serving of elvish drama. And so here is a Caranthir, hiding, as is expected of him, in the stables.

He followed advice from his younger brothers, and ended up spilling a ridiculous amount of awkward beans to an older brother. And now, he feels stupid. Really, really, really stupid for

The twins wander into the stables, intending to go for a quick ride to work off some tension, but they stop when they see Caranthir standing there with Vela like that. They quickly go over, they know that Caranthir had spoken to Maedhros so it's not hard to guess what's bothering him. They don't speak, just go up and wrap their arms around him. Without getting between him and Vela, of course.

He doesn't say anything or really react much - but at least, he's not shrugging them off? There's something nervous about the way he's shivering.

They'd probably do their best to not be shaken off, but they're glad that he's not. They hold him a little tighter when they feel the shivering, one puts his head on Cara's shoulder and the other rubs his back.

"He's calmed down now," one says , hoping to reassure at least a little. "He's not as angry as he was before."

[elven_irs]

Caranthir shrugs helplessly. He's not sure how to respond to this.

My brother expected me to be a monster.

[time_willdecide]

"He didn't know everything."

"We tried to explain."

"He understands better, we think..."

Neither is loosening their grip on him at all.

He shrugs, doesn't move other than that.

"He didn't --" he didn't even let me explain.

"Well, maybe if you talk to him now he will?" Whatever it was that he didn't. They hope, anyway.

[elven_irs]

He shrugs, and doesn't answer. We don't know that he'll ever be ready to deal with that brother again - the assumptions which lie under his lack of questioning hurt to much.

They sigh quietly and just hold onto him quietly. They wish there was more (or, really, anything at all) they could do to reconcile everyone.

It's probably a matter of time more than anything else - it's not easy saying he's hurt considering what he did. Yay for self-loathing.

Not knowing what else to say, they'll just be holding him until he either speaks, or pushes them away.

After a bit -- "Brothers?"

They look up at him in surprise when he speaks. "Yes, Moryo?"

"--- have you seen Elrond around?" It's almost squeaked.

[time_willdecide]

"Yes..."

"From a distance. We haven't spoken to him, though."

[elven_irs]

He nods, slowly. "I want a chance to apologize to him again."
