[Open] Vanish… is that all you know to do?

It's not impossible that Feanor has been more or less conspicuous lately. In fact, after much reflection, he's decided that the only way he could keep himself sane was to set about productive endeavors. To that effect, he effectively hijacked a corner of the library which he found to be rather unused. The walls have gone from cobwebbed to covered ( Read more... )

Kvothe spends a great deal of his time in the library, and inevitably will eventually come across the space that Feanor has commandeered. He's a quiet person, but is making no effort to conceal his presence as he glances around at papers all over the walls. "Well," he says in a friendly but amused tone. "You've been busy."

Feanor glances at the human - but this one at least isn't being pesky like the other. "I see that your observance is remarkable," he replies dryly.

It's actually not invitation to leave, though.

"I've heard it said," Kvothe agrees pleasantly, taking the lack of invitation to leave as invitation to step closer for a better look. "What have you been up to back here?" He can recognize battle plans, it worries him a little.

Feanor waves at the walls, and says, dryly, "It would seem self-evident, Atan. Was there something in particular?"

As long as Kvothe doesn't start intruding too much (read that, touching Feanor's things,) he should be fine.

He's keeping his hands to himself, but he's studying it all as best he can from a distance. "Just curious about who you intend to declare war against."

"The Enemy, who else?" We know, it's terribly descriptive - though perhaps Kvothe might remember hearing this in the mouths of other elves, so long ago.

It's probably never going to feel that long ago to him, with what happened to his hand. "A difficult being to fight," he says. "What do you intend to do?"

Wait wait wait. "I reckon introductions are in order, to start," he says. "And perhaps you should tell me what you know of the Enemy."

"My name is Kvothe," he says. "I encountered him once before." He holds out a hand that probably has some thin, now faded scars across it. "And was lucky to survive the experience. I know others who have as well."

Humans who face the Enemy... that is... not so new, no, but all the same.

"Sit," he says (if he hasn't before). "Who are those others?"

Kvothe takes a seat, outwardly friendly still, but cautious. "Most were like you, I believe. There were two others, though...why do you ask?" Merlin is a friend, and his relationship to Jaenelle has always been distant and tenuous, he's reluctant to give out their names without their knowledge to someone he's never met. Though, he had met the previous Maedhros, and notes a resemblence.

What do you mean, like me? "I ask because I found this place rather defenseless - and if there are others who are intent on fighting the Enemy, I would sooner know them, and forge another alliance."

Elves, of course! "Their names are not mine to give," he says, thinking that the Merlin might not mind, but he's never been quite certain how Jaenelle will react to his presence, let alone sending strange warmongering Elves at her. "But if you wish, I could give them your name, so that they bay seek you out if they are willing."

"A name for a name, then," Feanor replies. "I am Feanaro, High King of the Noldor, and likely kin to some of those you speak of. Who are you, then, messenger?"

He certainly wouldn't mind more allies, that's for sure.

Though I'm not sure about puppeting him across Merlin - it breaks my brain. XD

"No one important, from no where in particular." He smiles. "Aquainted with some who are more powerful, and I know which end of a sword to hold, that's all."

"A warrior without a name, then," Feanor replies. "A rather inconvenient situation, on the battlefield."

He takes a small object on his table, examines it thoughtfully (at least in appearance). "Atani can be turned," he says slowly. "Will you fight Moringotto?"
