Iphigenia has been in a good mood lately. Of course, her grief has still been present, but it seems to have lessened somewhat. She's content with that, for now, and thankful as well

Armand is heading out to see if there's any early flowers for his lady love. He spies the girl and pauses to say hello, which is simply a cheerful, "Hello."

Iphigenia looks up from her reading. "Hello!"

"This is a lovely day to be out. What are you reading, mademoiselle?"

[ohmaiden]

"It's just--pictures, of pretty things, really...nothing special."

[league_mascot]

"Pretty things are always special," he enthuses. "Do you mind company?"

[ohmaiden]

"Not at all!"

[league_mascot]

He sits beside her, maybe a bit slouchy but mostly just trying to pay attention to her in a gallant way. "I know I must seem like an ignorant fool, but I know I've never met you before..."

[ohmaiden]

"Oh, you're right! I'm Iphigenia," she says with a smile.

[league_mascot]

A grin answers her smile. "And I'm Armand. So what is in these pretty pictures of yours?"

[ohmaiden]

"They're just--dresses, that's all. Nothing special, really."

[league_mascot]

His laugh makes his eyes sparkle a little. He's enjoying this talk, but he hopes to get the fair maid to admit something is special. "If they're nothing special, then it must be you. Yes?"

[ohmaiden]

She blushes. "You think so?"

[league_mascot]

"Why wouldn't it be you?" he asks, a little puzzled. Yes, he's flirting a little but he doesn't mean anything serious by it. He's very taken.

[ohmaiden]

"Well, I don't think I'm very special, really."

[league_mascot]

"Why would you think that?"

[ohmaiden]

"I just--don't?"
