Maledisant thinks the Mansion is a very boring place. Nothing much happens and the people are insufferable. She's starting to suspect that some of the residents spend their time intentionally coming up with new ways to be annoying. She's not entirely sure she can blame them. The Mansion is a very dull place, after all, and it's not easy for halfwits to come up with ways to entertain themselves.
There's a particular halfwit who Maledisant dislikes more than most. Somebody needs to knock Lady Morgana down off her pedestal, and she's been toying with an idea of how to go about it. She's pacing the common room one day, and she comes across a stack of parchment that would be perfect for the task. It's clearly God telling her she's on the right track.
She takes the sheets back to her room and writes the same message on each of them, in large, attention-grabbing letters:
HEAR YE ALL MANSION RESIDENTS
THE LADY MORGANA HAS HAD RELATIONS WITH A MAN OUTSIDE OF WEDLOCK
HER CLAIMS OF VIRGINITY ARE UNTRUE
SHE IS UNMARRIAGEABLE AND SUFFERS FROM VENEREAL DISEASE
DO NOT TRUST SUCH A HARLOT
Morgana should really have known better than to confess her sins to someone so devoted to honesty and spreading the truth.
Maledisant leaves the notices all over the Mansion this time, not just in the main room. There are some in the kitchen, on the front door, even lying on the floor in random corridors. This way she can't have her fun completely ruined by that man with the silly hat and a sense of self-importance even bigger than his nose. It would probably take someone days to track all the notices down.
