Well, it happened. And now, there is no sleeping to be had at the treehouse. Of course, for an Elda, sleep is not quite necessary - it is replaced by meditation, eyes open, and rest. Neither of those things are easy to achieve either, though, with a newborn dictating the schedule

When they spot their brother the twins immediately go over and plop down next to him, one on the floor by Cara's feet and the other trying to perch on the arm of his couch or chair as they cuddle up to him. "Hey, you."

Yay, brother cuddles! There's immediate accomodation for the twins, and the elf smiles a little.

"You," he tells them, so very fondly. "How are my favorite troublemakers?"

"We're good. Bit bored."

"Not much hunting to be done in winter."

"You look like you've found something to occupy you, though." One of them reaches to (carefully) snatch at the toy Cara's whittling.

He allows the snatching, keeping the blade safely away, though.

"More like that witch did," he replies, snorting. "Artanis had me saddled with her pregnant atan friend and her gorilla for months at a time."

Grunt.

He examines the toy, plays with it a moment before handing it off to his twin, who does the same. Because really, there's a big chunk of them that's basically still five years old. "Really? You took care of a random pregnant atan because a cousin you don't particularly like asked you to?"

"Her gorilla?" They snicker.

"An impressively large atan warrior - thankfully the quiet sort. He took little space, come to think of it."

He chuckles, fuzzes both twins, one after the other.

"Alright, you have me. I was bored," he admits. "And the house deserves more than just me moping around it. I liked having that woman there."

They grin and lean into his touch, they like having their brother around. Especially with so few of their family left. "Does that mean you're coming back?"

"We've missed you."

He smiles mysteriously, and lets himself sink in the pleasure of just being with his brothers.

"Maybe."

That drawl is probably answer enough.

Truth is, he's offered his house to Michelle, but the thread is still ongoing and idk what she will do.

The twins look very unimpressed with his response and they huff as they settle more firmly against his sides. Attempting to wordlessly give the impression that they aren't going to let him move until actually he promises to stay. "Going to introduce us to your Atani?"

Being brother-hugged is amazing, and the typist guffawed a little at the suggestion that Caranthir might have collected another Atan.

The elf, though, snorts. "She is not mine," he replies with a huff, and the defensiveness is actually quite genuine. "And Eru help me if she is, because I failed to notice. She's got a Maia with her, and a babe soon at her teat. That is much more than I can arsed to handle, you two."

Hell, they're implying that he's collected all three of them, he's let them stay in his house after all. "A Maia with her?"

"I thought you said she had a gorilla."

[elven_irs]

"They make them gorilla-shaped, now, what of it?" he replies with a smirk.

Truth is, he can't wait to a) move out, b) have them move out. He needs his space.

He was going to offer his house up to Michelle, but their interaction didn't go that way at all, so idk that he's doing that now.

"If you say so," they chuckle. They wouldn't be surprised, they're more surprised that he allowed them to stay in the first place.

"Are they staying around?"

Caranthir leans back into his brothers' embrace, might even kiss the side of Telvo's head.

"No idea," he replies. "But it will be they or I - the place is not made for so large a group, and Eru damn me thrice if I hear the babe cry through another night."

[time_willdecide]

Yaaay brothercuddles. "So stay here."

"At least until you decide what to do with them"

"You'll be able to decide while well rested that way."

Oh, brothers. Caranthir laughs, then reaches to fuzz one of the twins. "You two scoundrels are too happy to keep me captive for me to refuse," he replies, looking appropriately amused.

They're so good for him, they don't even know.
