(mingler) Happier stories the failed one said

It's a very average day at the Mansion, and Maledisant is bored. She's wandering the halls, looking for someone who might entertain her, but what she finds is far more entertaining than an unsuspecting Mansion resident.

Lying in the corner of one corridor, she finds two lonely sheets of paper. At first she thinks they're rubbish, something deliberately thrown away, but a closer inspection reveals otherwise. At first she's not sure what she's reading, but the name on one sheet leads her to believe it's somebody's attempts at poetry. Amused, and wanting to share the grand works of literature with the other Mansion residents, she finds a few thumbtacks and pins the sheets side-by-side to the wall in the main room.

The first sheet reads:

By the Stones
By Fuchsia Groan

By the shine of the lake
Came the cry by the stones
Peaceful day, quiet walk
Soft warmth of summer
Soft earth under foot
Hard man's body
Wrestling with another's tail
Shouts and shock and shunning
Demands, harsh, self-righteous
Not like the earth or warmth
Innocent walk, immoral men.
Both moments ruined
By the shine of the lake
With a cry by the stones.

The second sheet, pinned just to the right of the first, reads:

My suitors' are nothing like each other;
Happier stories the failed one said;
If one is the author, why then magic is another;
If in a duel, one will be bled.
I have seen rainbows, from envelopes of white,
But no such magic from him with the beak;
And in some magic is there more delight?
But neither is a prospect bleak.
I love to hear one's words, yet well I know
The other's laugh a far more pleasing sound;
I grant I have never seen such beaux;
My suitors' fingers on which I'm wrapped around.
And yet, by the stones, I think my suitors rare
As any they are, in truth, without compare.

She slips out of the main room before anyone has a chance to catch her, but comes back to visit frequently throughout the day. She wants to see what reactions people have to the new wall decorations, and even though one of the poems is signed with a name, she has no idea who this Fuchsia Groan is. Maybe having her work displayed publicly will cause the poet to reveal herself.

((ooc: so, it's a mingler, for your puppets to laugh/scratch their heads/talk about the strange new addition to the Mansion's main room :) Maledisant's going to be in and out of the room all day, so if you want her, just ask.
