Here's someone Daniel's probably not too keen to see, but she's going to show up anyway. She's still annoyed that he left halfway through their last conversation.

"Oh, well," she says, walking into the room. "Look who it is."

"Oh please don't."

Maledisant is already so very amused. "Don't what? I'm afraid I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Live up to your reputation," he replies. "Unless there's something actually useful under all that trolling you're known for."

Maledisant looks so very pleased with herself. "You aren't making even the slightest bit of sense," she says. "Shouldn't you be doing something useful?"

It appears that you are just sitting around in a chair, Daniel.

"Are you?" Because it looks like you're being quite useless yourself, Maledisant.

"I'm keeping you company," Maledisant says. "Isn't that worthwhile?"

"You're harassing me, which, where I come from, is a federal offense."

"It's a good thing we're not where you come from then, isn't it?" Maledisant says, brightly. "You looked so sad and lonely over here. I just couldn't bear to leave you on your own."

"Yes, because your presence is definitely an improvement," he replies with a heavy sigh.

Morgana would like to threadjack this - permission?

"I'm glad to hear it," Maledisant says. "I wouldn't want you to think that nobody cares about you."

"Well, you've made sure of that now, so I think you're off the hook."

"Are you suggesting that I should leave?"

"Schockingly, yes."

[trolololdamsel]

"But I adore your company so. And that's no way to talk to a lady. Where are your manners?"

"Down the drain, where your charm remains," he replies flatly.

"Now, if you'll excuse me...."

He stands, ready to take his leave.
