He didn't come often, though he made it a point to drop by sometimes, just in case. Perhaps someone from the mansion would come by, or some of the extended family. No one ever did, but with all the time he'd had on his hands lately, Armand was learning to cultivate optimism again. After all, Jaenelle and Karla found the house on a regular basis.
He could hope.
So he had a full pot of tea on the table before him--despite the odd looks from the waitress when he refused wine--a window at his back and fat book on his lap. Armand was prepared to while away the day at the obscure little establishment in the hopes of seeing some familiar faces.
