It's been a strange summer, for Delilah. She's struggled with loss, once again, struggled also with who she is and isn't, in this place where she feels very often like she is the last of her kind

When Lou makes it to the site, Delilah is sitting on the floor, and she's just about done roasting a hare.

"Lou!" she calls. "Come, sit. Eat with me."

"I'd been collecting skins for a while," Delilah replies, shrugging, smiling. "Fall's coming, it'll be good to have this as a cache for hunting."

She turns the hare, frowns, deciding it's not roasted enough.

"How've you been?"

A chuckle, a blush, too, because Lou seems to be worried about her, and that's not helping that slight crush.

"So many questions," she replies after she's put the hare back to roast, other side up. "Which one should I answer first?"

Delilah blinks, then looks at Lou. "What is it?"

She's completely attentive to her friend.
