You can't get too much winter in the winter.

Jack Frost was minding his own business, freezing a lake in northern Canada hard enough for skating, when the storm swept through. He tried to grab onto a tree, but the upper branches of the nearest pine tree were thin and bendy and the needles prickle as they slip through his fingers. Then he's caught in the whirlwind, helpless to escape or even alter his course. All he can do is hold tight to his staff and wait it out, blinded by the snow he's always controlled until he lands in a heap.

He's spent most of the last night rather stunned, curled into a ball in a snow bank as he wonders just what happened to cause a storm so wild that even he couldn't control it. When he finally pokes his head out of the snow to look around he can see the wrecked mansion nearby, though he can't tell at the distance if anyone lives there still. He rides a gust of wind to the top of the nearest tree to take a better look around, the terrain doesn't look familiar which is a surprise, but he supposes that even in three hundred years he hasn't seen everything yet. The others would all know it he's sure, and he might ask when he has a chance. He should warn North, he thinks, about the crazy weather. It probably wouldn't be good for the sleigh to get caught in that, and the presents might get blown away. In the meantime he might as well take a look around here and see just where he's ended up, so he catches a breeze toward the mansion to take a better look. After all, with a little help that lake will be perfect for skating.

Other relevant info: Jack is magic. Jack Frost is a spirit, who can only be seen by those who believe in him specifically, other magical creatures, animals, and those with magic. Otherwise, ordinary people who don't believe can walk straight through him without even realizing that anything is there. If you aren't sure where your character falls, we can figure it out! :)

Even if a character can't see Jack, they could still be hit by one of his snowballs, or if they need cheering up for an afternoon a bit of his magic might help take their mind off things. Jack likes to see people having fun!
