It has taken time for this to happen, for the Dark Lord to gather it all, his influence of that which is not Arda but close enough to it, that which he hates about all else for the light of it remains a beacon

Well, Cyrano is in a bit of trouble. He's not wounded exactly - but the way everything fell around him, he's actually boxed in. He can still call out, he can still be seen through the cracks, but he could really use a hand.

This is not a duel or even traditional war. This is a natural disaster, and he was not, in any way, prepared for it.

Outside there's his pink-haired daughter calling out for him, panicked herself. She hasn't gone through such chaos since her Kingdom was invaded when she was young.

"Are you fine, Cyrano?"

"Utena, here!" Cyrano calls from his unexpected, unplanned, and undesired cache.

"Right here."

Utena beins to try to get her Father out of the corner he's trapped in.

She's still small, so she can't lift everything.

Perhaps between the two of them, they can make a hole big enough for Cyrano to escape? He's strong, and what work she did might have given him enough space to free his arms and give him the leverage he needed...

Sure, goes the typist.

"Take my hand..." Utena says.

Hopefully she can pull her father.

Cyrano takes it, and he does grasp Utena's arm with a strong grip.

After that, it's a matter of pulling - his doublet will tear, the cold will make it difficult, and to make matters worse, the wood is cracking, but only very slowly, due to being frozen...

Damn old-world clothes.

And Utena does pull with the best of her ability.

Well, he's out - and Cyrano might topple over his daughter after the wood gives way.

"I'm so sorry, ma petite," he'll say as he scrambles to get off her - "Sacrebleu, this house is madness!"

Let's go on, we has one more thing to do! Is a ~surprise...~

She gets up and brushes off the plaster, dirt, and wood.

"It's alright... you're alright. Looking for anyone, Father? I can help you."

Anything to keep busy and keep the PTSD at bay.

Oooh...

At this point the house is no longer tremoring - it's really a matter of getting past obstacles, and out.

And yet...

"Oui," Cyrano replies. "There are a number of helpless artists in this place - let us do a round-up of their rooms, so long as we are still here."

A beat.

"But first...."

He pulls his little girl (big girl) into a bear hug.

Utena nods. "Of course." It's her duty as a Shadow Angel and a prince to help people, plus it's her Dad's people.

She is taken a bit by surprise by the hug, but feels better from this.

And we swear this is a nice comforting daddy hug, and not a weird creepy thing. Promise.

It doesn't last ages, though, because this is an apocalypse (let's not forget our priorities), and soon Cyrano turns away.

"Come then!"

And he'll start towards the corridor.

The first room they find is Titus'.

No idea what happened to him - if you know, feel free to write the after-rescue-whatever? If there are clues?

As they pass by Titus' room, they might find that it's empty.

Cyrano heaves a sigh of relief, and they go on to find Hisoka's room empty as well.

It probably won't take long to spot the body, and to notice the smell of death.
