[Open Post - Dual puppet] All mimsy were the borogoves...
It's a quiet evening when two unlikely friends (of a sort) can be found playing a card game in the common room. Both are up for conversation or questions or outright staring if that's your thing, but they are friendly to a point and glad for the company just the same.
"Now that's not fucking fair," Stark says, frowning down at the cards in front of him. A grey tabby cat is sitting across from him at the table, tail curled around his feet, and a set of odd looking playing cards is set up before them, a simple book-stand holding the hand of cards for the cat.
"How so?"
"You were sitting on that vorpal this whole time."
"Yes, because I knew I would be needing it when you finally decided to stop hedgering your queens," Echo replies calmly. "Are you going to take your turn, or shall I call it now?"
"No, no..." The scarred man looks over his hand, draws a card, then lays down two. "I'll just gimble this hand then." The cat doesn't smile, though there's an air of amusement to him, and instead draws a card from the pile with his teeth and plays one.
OH GOD I'M BACK HELLO. This is a first sort of post while I get my bearings back in the game. Feel free to IM, PM, or email me if you want to thread with anybody I've got that isn't Echo or Stark. Hello new people? New puppets? I'm nice, really. And firmly back in the internet.
