She doesn't regret it.

She's a widow before she was ever made a dame, but she doesn't regret it. What difference would it have made had he lived, in the end? Would not Tristan have failed as her husband still? Hisoka is just walking down towards the lake when he sees a lady at the bottom of the lawn. "Hello? You must be new here," he calls.

"We just call it the Mansion, my lady," answers Hisoka. "Where are you from, if I may ask?"

"Brittany," she says. She looks confused, but not upset, or worried. "Am I far from there now?"

If she ventures into the kitchen, she might find a young man with violet eyes, clad in silver and black garments with a rather strange cut, seated at the table, drinking a cup of hot chocolate and poring over a copy of "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner", illustrated by some man named Peake. He's not sure which he's enjoying more, the poem or the pictures.

Isolde is exploring; she finds this place quite strange, but it is not unpleasant. She looks curiously at the young man as she enters the kitchen, and greets him a little hesitantly.

"Good day," she says, "if I do not interrupt."

He looks up, a bit surprised, but that gives way to a sad but kind smile of greeting. "You were not: I was rather wrapped up in my book and in need of coming back to the world outside it," he replies.

Maledisant's sitting in the library, entertaining herself by reading Dr Seuss books. She's currently halfway through Green Eggs and Ham, and enjoying it far more than she would admit.

Isolde's pleased to see another woman around this place. "Have you a fine book there, my lady?"

"Oh, yes," Maledisant says. "It's a work of art. A classic."

She has no way of knowing how popular said book was in the modern world, of course. She's just saying that because it's so wonderfully weird.

she should show some dr seuss books to medraut :D
