She could have sworn she'd just opened the door to her room. But instead of four familiar walls, her bed, there iss a decidedly unfamiliar room that looks nothing at all like any room she's ever seen in Winterfell. The door under her hand even feels unfamiliar; the wood treated to be glossy and smooth. Arya takes a step back, letting the door swing ( Read more... )

If she ventures into the main room, she might find a young-looking knight there, reading from a small, thick book as he paces the room slowly, even meditatively.

He's easily interrupted, even in his meditations and prayers.

Given she intends to explore the place from basement to attic, it comes as no surprise that she finds her way to the main room. She pauses when she notices the man reading, hoping she wasn't bothering him, uncertain if he'd wanted others entering the room... though if that were the case, he could have closed the doors so she's not too concerned..

"Excuse me, my lord."

He looks up from the book, smiling to her and marks his place in the volume before closing it. "May the Lord be with you, my young lady," he says, bowing to her.

She returns the bow with a curtsey, though his greeting does earn a confused look. "...The Lord, my lord?" She inquired. The way he said it hinted at some religious figure, but she was unfamiliar with it.

"The Lord God, He Who created all the world and the creatures who dwell within it," he says. "I am His servant, Sir Parsifal of the Holy Grail and the Sacred Lance,"

"My name is Arya Stark, Sir Parsifal... and I'm afraid I've never heard of your god." She admits, though she is curious.

"Arya Stark? Are you of the house of Lord Eddard Stark? I have met him and several of his family in this place," he says.

"You are a very blessed young woman then: he is one of the most noble men whom I have met in this place," he says, beaming.

Her smile widens at this as she nods enthusiastically in agreement.

"He is a good man indeed, Sir Parsifal." Oh by that tone someone is very much a daddy's girl, yes indeed.

"You sound proud of him and you have every reason to be proud of so noble a man," he says. "But tell me, how came you to this place?" he asks, with innocent curiosity.

"I was in Winterfell, on my way to prepare for tomorrow's trip. I opened a door, and what was beyond it was this place, rather than my own room." She explains, with a wry smile. "I thought at first that perhaps I had gone mad."

"Aye, there are many here who found this place quite unexpected. Some were travelling in their worlds, and others awakened from their sleep to find themselves here. When I came here, I was travelling, seeking my way back to the Castle of the Brotherhood of the Holy Grail, the court of knights in which I serve, when I found my path leading instead to this house," he says. "It would seem that the Lord God wishes me to tarry here for a time. I knew not why at first, but there have been folk who worship the Lord, who were in need of a priest to lead them in prayer."

"The Holy Grail, sir?" The way he said it hinted that it was something important, and she found her curiosity kindled. "What is that if I may ask?"

"It is one of the most holy object in my world: it is the cup from which the Son of the Lord God drank at the last meal which He shared with His followers, the night before He offered His life to save mankind from their sins," he says, reverently.

Well that was a new story. "He sounds very honorable, sir. I can see why such a thing might be a relic."
