my friends list has expanded recently, so in an attempt to get to know eachother better, i've posted an introduction with pics and bits and pieces. :)
i arrived on this planet on febuary 7th, 1989 after what my mum describes as 36 hours of pure torture. i think she's exaggerating, though. i lived in a village in the middle of nowhere, scotland called stonehouse until i was two, then moved to my current hometown, blantyre. i live on the outskirts of glasgow, so i love it a lot because i sort of get the best of both worlds. (heh) lots of city life and country banter.
my family are what i can only describe as a massive mix of people. mostly loud, some quiet, hysterical, intimidating and loving. my great grandparents were all irish, but i consider myself to be completely and utterly scottish. always and forever.
right now i attend glasgow caledonian university, where i'm studying social sciences. i'm going into my third year after the summer, where i am focussing more on economics and politics. i love learning about current affairs. you know, what's going on right now. not what happened 1283 years ago that i can do sweet fuck all to change.
i have no idea what i want to do when i leave university. that sort of scares me, a little.
i really like these guys:
i am currently single.
my friends are very important to me. i have a small group of real friends, and some others i know from uni/school/etc who i talk to a lot and everything, but i'm a very secretitive person and it takes me a while to get to know someone. most of my friends i've known for 10+ years. except carmen...she somehow wormed her way in. idk.
joyce xjoycexfx and i have known each other since primary school. we're ridiculously close and disagree on almost everything. but agree on the good stuff. she has more clothes than i do (which is saying something!) and helps me do my hair/makeup when i fail at life. she's always the "sober one" when we go out, despite drinking more than all of us combined.
we call joey geggy, because she has a funny last name. we've known eachother since we were like two because we live on the same street and when we were kids we used to hang around in a massive group of guys. we liked the attention. :) we can finish each others sentences and we laugh at everything and nothing constantly.
she is here, also:
carmen cs_whitewolf and i met at work and she is the only reason i still work there! she somehow makes my days in there a bit brighter. she's south african, and i constantly take the piss out of her accent. stop pretending to be australian, carmen. i think we first spoke at work about harry potter, and we still constantly talk about it/go to the movies opening weekend/compare real life things to it... i gave her the twilight books to read, don't know if she appreciated or hated that. she has a ~secret love~ for them. and she liked breaking dawn. fail. she's a huge doctor who geek, and we have seen star trek like 4 times together. we've also seen john barrowman twice in concert together. eeek. OH YEAH, AND HER CAT HATES ME. it is a ginger beast.
