lessons lessons lessons! I have been on fire lately. I have also picked up a bit, which is good. my three littles came back yesterday and they were great, and two more littles appeared this morning, and they were good. of course, the mom made sure to tell me that they went horseback riding in the 'Jungles of Belize'. I had forgotten how some people are. I do have a lot of wealthy clients, but none of them really shove it in my face, excpet these people. but, the upside is they are extremely nice, and the kids are adorable.
yesterday since it was raining, i was forced to set up a new course in the indoor-blarggh. it was set up as a short stirrup course. so i changed it to a medal course. it started with a slanted 1 stride along the short end and then a slight bending line to a big 'ol swedish oxer, then a hard right turn to a sinple cross rail, and then the option to roll back through bounce or take the long way around to ensure a clean transition back to trot and then go the bounce. If I could draw it and then post it, I would. I was a little disapointed that I couldnt use that course today, but the sun was out, and it wasnt raining so we were outside. I had been working with the same course outside all week, so I tweaked it a little bit. Its similar to the inside course-actually only the beginning is with the 1 stride to a bending line. The outside course has more space so I was able to make it little bit huntery for some kids, and a little bit jumpery for the others. it really depended on the pony. Everyone did very well today. A couple of them stepped up their game today, too, which was amazing to see. I love catching the moment when it all comes together!
The wind blew one of our big trees down. luckily it didnt crash though a fence, but it got alll the horses running. Ginger was standing under it when it started to crackle and she got the hell outta there fast! All the mares were standing in the corner watching it fall and then they all went ape wild running around. which got the babies running around and Clio was trying to jump into the big field. Abby would run, and stop and buck in place a few times, and then get down and roll, hop back up, buck and then shoot off running. Hilarious!
I am going to list all the horses names, because I dont think I ever have. I'll go youngest to oldest.

got on Abby yesterday , in the indoor. She was good considering the wind was howling and rain was beating on the roof. She was also good considering she could not see her girlfriends-like she wasnt screaming for them. Shes dominant to both of the girls now. we still just walked, but we walked in a big cirle a bunch of times, then turned around and walked somemore, adding in some 'whoas'. she was awesome. thats all.
