Still deciding on a new banner theme... I wanted to use this image from CLAMP's Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE but the original quality is too rough for my terrible-tastic Photoshop skills.
It also can't really capture the cuteness of the entire picture, sigh. Working with transparency is a pain in the neck.
I don't really like that what I currently have up is too busy. The two lines of the song I liked... but they look odd when there alone. I'll probably still be experimenting with the layers of text and funky bubble-y things for a while.
In the meantime, imagine the cuteness it would be if I had skills. :)
The cast of Tsubasa grows on me with each chapter... perhaps it is because they are like a family (and they call each other silly names to prove it, haha).
Kurogane (aka: Daddy, Big Doggy, Kuro-rin, Kuro-sama, Kuropippi)
Mokona (aka: white manju bun, Soel)
Syaoran (aka: the kid, Little Doggy)
Sakura (aka: the princess, Little Kitty)
Fai (aka: Mommy, damn/wily mage, Big Kitty, and a few other "choice" foul terms by Kurogane)
Ahh, I want my own such dysfunctional family to travel through different dimensions with. :)
EDIT: Listening to Hikki's brand new single song (currently only a radio-rip since the actual single is not coming out 'til the 22nd)- "Keep Tryin'" Her voice sounds good on this song- it is always better when she's not trying to be too high and whisper-y.
I'm actually excited to read that she's at work on her next Japanese album (set for release this year). Japan is odd in that musicians release lots of singles until there are a good number to collect on an album. (Whereas musicians here just put out albums and then popular songs are made singles.)
Ah, also- for some reason the English-language version of the Kingdom Hearts II song will have its name changed from "Passion" to "Sanctuary". Hmm.
The original Kingdom Hearts game had the song "Hikari (Light)" that got completely rewritten into "Simple and Clean," the English game theme. They are only technically the same song in that the music is similar and some of the themes are close... Many people think "Hikari" is the superior of the two. I like both because I enjoy hearing English- although I admit that the song is much more meaningful and coherent when it is "Hikari".
Anyway, I just felt like rambling about being excited about her new Japanese album since I just couldn't get into her American release (I was so thankful when she announced it as an experiment in different styles).
