(no subject)
hmm I only just realized how long I've had this blog for now - cause I created it when I was first going to Romania 3 years ago so that I could keep people updated on my travels since I knew I wouldn't get to check and send emails very often....
So Andrew is coming to Romania with me for sure now too! I booked his flights and we're all set to go...well, not really, but we've got flights and that's the big thing really. I need to clue myself into the fact that i go in less than 3 weeks and need to pack up my whole house and store it somewhere!
we've had some really sunny and 'hot' weather here which has been great for trips to the park and a lot of basketball...i need to get used to really hot weather again though cause Romania is crazy.
What else have I been up to?
on the weekend we had our variety show shows - it went off better than I was expecting, though the first night the audience probably had an average age of 65, and no one I knew came =) but Matt had invited everyone along to the Sunday night, so they came and actually enjoyed themselves! I enjoyed myself too, except that someone stole my necklace that my mum got me at grad. bah. i hate thieves. and the worse part is it was someone who was in the show. bah. i still hate thieves.
OOOOOO and also on Saturday, got a random knock on my door 15min before having to leave for my show and guess who it was? JUSTIN!!! this is the friend of mine who fell off a cliff onto rocks in the ocean back in April...and he is now back living in Armley (he was at his parent's when he got out of hospital at first). He was looking great and is doing really well! After breaking over 30 bones, he now only has one arm in a sling and that's cause they did an operation on his shoulder last week. But yeah, so that made me week seeing him again!
Monday was my friend Naomi's 25th brithday, and we had a whole big surprise thing planned that included stealing her shoes and her having to find them and find people on a treasure hunt around Armley, and then a surprise party at her house with lots of shoe-related activities...but her plane back from Paris was delayed and then she couldn't get a train and it all got ruined =( so instead we just had a party at hers...with all of us being there for 3 hours before she was!
