Re: Tom Hiddleston | Third Collaboration with Joanna Hogg

I loved Unrelated and Archipelago by Joanna Hogg admittedly more than I liked Thor or even The Avengers, because of all the involved actors' amazing skills and talent.

I know (I think) she did not write her movies for Hiddleston, but the part of spoiled, upper class brat Oakley and the other, of equally spoiled but insecure and pensive Edward fit him so very, very well. Both characters seem diammetral, but are both borne from the same circumstances. Edward and Oakley are two sides of the same coin. I could not shake the feeling that Hiddleston with his upbringing must have had observed exactly these kind of people in his closest environment-maybe he even was one of them, at one point at his life.

If I were to interview him I would ask him most about these roles, how he researched them how he crafted them, how he went about them, how they felt.

I am the more thrilled to learn that he'll be in Joanna Hogg's third film, so far only mysteriously titled "The London Project", where he won't be the main protagonist. Instead, he claims, "he'll play someone incredibly normal."

On another unrelated note: I always found Idris Elba's Heimdall stunningly beautiful as Heimdall in Thor. The glowing skin, the golden amber eyes, the unnaturally even features! I am not a fan of Mumford and Sons, their songs in particular or this video, but Idris Elba looks gorgeous!

Methinks I need a Heimdall/Loki fic now ;)
