Love and other Misdemeanours

To take my mind off my current work situation The Bestest Beau of All took me out on a date yesterday and got me drunk :P

During that evening we joked around about our tastes-(he finds my obsession with Alan Rickman, David Thewlis and especially Tom Hiddleston "ridiculous" and insists that these men are not incredibly handsome ... can you believe it?) and I mentioned that I had had an affair in Tokyo-with a woman and a man, because I somehow assumed all that time he had known anyway-I surely had never tried to hide it.

"Anyway, it didn't really last," I muttered, and he grinned and made some kind of victory gesture, saying, "Yeah!" and to me "As if I would ever wish you'd succeed with your affairs!"

Later, in bed, afterwards, I told him that he can have affairs too.

"You know that, right?"

He turned to me and said, "I know, but I'm okay. I'm fine with what I've got. I never had anyone else."

And it occured to me in this moment, that this was the first time that love and whatever it means, whatever it encompasses, doesn't scare me any longer.

love, real life, love is all you need
