Tom Hiddleston attends the screening of ‘Much Ado About Nothing’

A lot of the comments went to the shiny jacket he was wearing and the question wether his orange face was sun damage or badly applied bronzer.

My inconsequential opinion: No, I am not a particular admirer of the jacket as well (I also did not like the blue three piece suit he wore in Cannes, except for the fact that the trousers were sinfully tight and left little to imagination). Did his stylist quit? Did he acquire a new one?

There is an odd little thing I have with celebrities who don't dress absolutely stylish-I find it adorable, like a last vestige of innocence or so. Maybe I find people being clueless or indifferent about fashion charming, because it betrays a certain indifference about how they want to be seen.

That shiny jacket Hiddleston wore seemed to say "Someone dressed me and put clothes on me, and then I went off to do my thing and I have no idea what's on me."

I can see Luke Windsor looking him up and down and saying, "What are you wearing?"

And Hiddleston goes like, looking down at himself, "Uhm, I don't know ... a jacket?"

:D

Hiddleston might wear a light foundation, but it looks only orangy because of the bad light, and because his skin is dry around the eyes but the forehead is oilier/sweatier. A lot of foundations, even light ones, turn slightly orange if left too long on the skin and mixed with sweat or oil.

It's hard for him to avoid though, because without make-up he'll look too pale, something he or his make-up artist clearly wants to avoid, which is why he wears foundation that is slightly darker than his natural skin tone.

He can't wear powdery formulas, as his skin around the eyes is particularly dry and it would settle in the creases.

That said, I can't tell if he's wearing bronzer either. He might just be a very outdoorsy person. The darker skin on the forehead could be caused again by sweat-if you run a few rounds in the park, the parts you sweat most, the forehead and the nose will also be the most exposed part to the sun, and additionally the sweat will rinse off any sun protection you applied before.

Well, sun burnt or pale, painted like a clown or bare-faced, waistcoated or stuck in a shiny robot jacket-Hiddleston is still unfailingly adorable ;P
