you know what i've been seriously considering for the past year? i've been thinking about writing a book. not anytime soon, mind you, but some time in the future. i am contemplating writing about cat behavior. i've been studying cats probably all my life, but never so much as i have with marshall. i constantly watch him and try to really understand him. i do the same with my kitties outside. i find it extremely interesting. i've had many people suggest or ask why i didn't choose to major in verterinarian medicine or something like it. i suppose i chose not to do that b/c i couldn't fathom cutting open animals and such. it seems to be better for that matter to just be a hobby of mine. anyhow, i feel that i've really learned a lot from studying my cats, and i think i'm gonna start keeping a journal for all my notes. maybe one day i'll be able to put my insights into a book. the only problem is...how would i get people to understand that i really know what i'm talking about if i don't even have a degree in that field?? english also should have been my major. it was always my best class, and i've never had any problem with writing papers. however, i didn't want to major in that subject b/c i didn't think it would be a good career. if i did choose to pursue this idea of writing a book, how would i convince others of my authority in that area w/o having the proper degree to back it up? any thoughts? does it seem crazy to even think of writing a book about this?
