Today is my dad's birthday. For the past few years in honor of his birthday, I've posted Christmas songs by his favorite band, The Beach Boys. favorite non-sexual activity: Hanging out and watching cheesy horror movies. Tommy likes cuddling and eating popcorn, and Merton likes critiquing the movie monsters. It’s win/win.
who uses all the hot water in the morning: Merton, definitely.
what they order from take out: Fried chicken, of course. Tommy’s not allowed to go pick up dinner from The Hungry Bucket anymore because he never makes it home with the food, so Merton has to do it.
what is the most trivial thing they fight over: Merton’s tendency to invite trouble of the supernatural kind that Tommy has to get himself out of. Also the amount of Merton’s wardrobe that Tommy’s trashed when he gets too excited and wolfs out while they’re making out.
who does most of the cleaning: Merton, but only because he likes for everything to be in its place, and Tommy’s used to his mom cleaning up after him.
what has a season pass in their DVR: Monday Night Football, American Horror Story, Grimm. Tommy watches Idol when Merton’s not looking and fantasizes about being a pop star.
who controls the netflix queue: Merton. He’s a control freak. Tommy sneaks in there and adds action movies once in awhile, though.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Tommy, only because Merton’s usually making it worse by trying to find a supernatural explanation as to why it’s suddenly freezing in their apartment.
who steals the blankets: Merton, but Tommy’s got all that fur, so he doesn’t notice.
who leaves their stuff around: Tommy.
who remembers to buy the milk: They go shopping together, because if Tommy goes alone he forgets half the list, and if Merton goes alone he manages to get himself kidnapped by vampires or zombies or something.
who remembers anniversaries: Merton, and when Tommy forgets he pouts and won’t tell Tommy what’s wrong until Tommy figures it out and grovels for awhile.
