can't sign off, someone's being wrong on the internet
GUYS. There was SO MUCH DRAMA over that Halloween decorating contest my sister entered. Like, fandom wank-worthy levels of drama on the Facebook page. It was kind of ridiculous. Still, it just goes to show that where there are people on the internet, there will be wank. And that's why if I think something in fandom is stupid or wrong, I just remove myself from the situation. There's no point in trying to argue with crazy people.
Anyway, my sister came in third, and I'm pretty sure we helped a lot with that, so thanks again for voting for her. It doesn't mean anything and the contest was kind of ruined by internet crybabies, as usual, but I appreciate your helping her out, and I know she does too. Thanks.
In completely unrelated news, earlier this week I was poking around in that Winn football AU I wrote, and now I somehow have 8,000 words of a Kurt-centric companion piece. I had no intention whatsoever of writing the Kurt/Puck portion of that story! But then I was reading this one scene and I started wondering what Kurt and Puck's first kiss would be like after all that waiting, and the rest is history.
I just hope it's not really boring since anyone who's read the original story knows how this one turns out. Not that everyone doesn't always know how my fics are going to end, but you know what I mean. I also hope it's not so dependent on the original that it's too confusing to follow the companion piece, because I know a lot of Kurt/Puck fans aren't down with the Will/Finn.
It's fun, though, so whatever. I am hoping it's not going to be that long. Maybe I'll even get it finished this weekend. It could happen.
