This is the one where Finn and Puck stay behind in Lima after graduation and start a band called "Astral Plane", because they heard it in a song and thought it sounded cool, even though they don't actually know what it means. They play a lot of local gigs around Lima and have a tiny little following of the usual barflies, but let's face it, they're not going anywhere.

That's okay, though, because they have a good time, and they both work for Burt when they're not playing, so he's cool about giving them time off to practice and stuff.

Will comes to hear them sometimes, and he drags Shannon along with him, which is sort of hilarious, but cool too, and Finn always hangs out with them between sets and makes eyes at Will and Puck teases him about it all the time. But mostly he's just kind of jealous that Finn's not still pining for Rachel, because Puck's pining for *something*; he just can't put his finger on what.

For awhile he thinks it's Lauren, but the truth is she was never that nice to him, so he doesn't really miss *her* so much as he misses being part of something. He takes classes at the trade school because if he's going to work on cars he might as well get certified so Burt will give him a raise someday.

Anyway, he's just sort of going through the motions, but he gets to see Beth every so often and that's pretty cool now that she's old enough to understand who he is, so it's not all bad.

Then one day Kurt comes home from NYC for a visit, and that's cool, they parted as friends and all, so Puck's glad to see him. He comes to hear their band play and sits with Schue, then he makes fun of Puck and Finn for the rest of the night for not knowing what an astral plane is, exactly. And it's the same old Kurt, but there's something different about him too, like maybe he grew up a little in the big city.

It takes a couple days for Puck to remember the hobbit went to NYC with Kurt, but when he asks Kurt just says something vague about different priorities and changes the subject. Which means they broke up, of course, but it takes awhile for Puck to get that too.

Eventually Kurt goes back to NYC, and Puck doesn't really think anything of it at first, but then he starts to kind of miss having him around. So he sends Kurt an e-mail, just to say hi, and when Kurt writes back it makes his whole *week*, which...pathetic, but whatever.

So they start e-mailing regularly and there's some texting too, and eventually they fall in love and I don't know if Kurt moves home or if Puck moves to NYC, but either way they live happily ever after. 'Cause that's how I roll.

I read this with the 'And that's what you missed on Glee!' voice before I had to reread.

I love the way you roll. <3
