I think karma has it in for me.
Fact: I appear to have sprained my left thumb*. This is problematic, as I am extremely left-handed.
Oddly enough, the only thing that doesn't hurt is typing, since I have the other thumb to deal with the space bar, and that's the only thing you use your thumb for when you're typing. So in spite of my random injury (which I keep exacerbating by existing, basically, even though my thumb is currently taped to my index finger to keep me from moving it) I have no excuse not to get lots of writing done this weekend.
My weekend is starting even sooner than I planned, because I am too afraid to work out, lest I injure my stupid thumb even further, so I'm skipping my workout tonight and going home for a three-day weekend. Tomorrow was meant to be the day that I traditionally take off every spring to do a thorough cleaning of my entire house, but now I'm thinking that is not going to happen. I am taking the day anyway, because I seriously can't take another day of this place, and I'll see how much cleaning I can manage with my right hand**. It's sure to be a comedy of errors!
Oh well, if I fail, that just means more writing time***, right? Not how I planned to spend my day tomorrow, but I won't be at work, so it's already a good day.
* It is possibly a sports-related injury, though I honestly have no clue how I did it. It's hurt for a few days now, though, and it's getting worse instead of better.
** I feel as though I should make a dirty joke here, but that's probably just a sign that I write too much porn.
