Is Ray Laurence's character? It's just funny to imagine someone older being a rookie. But I guess he is experienced in other ways, just not in the field?

Yes, that's Laurence, and it *is* weird. The way they went about it is a little strange, IMO, but whatever. I love him, so I don't care about the circumstances.

Poor, pining Nick. It's hard to imagine him being so grumpy...he's usually the peace maker of the group. I love the way you make him both angry, bashful and oblivious all at the same time. It is very canon...and yet so very the Nick of my heart. It's actually pretty close to what I'd thought of when I gave you the prompt; just a hundred times better! Thanks.

It was a tough prompt, I'm not gonna lie. That's why I copped out with the third person POV; it was easier to do unspecified anger from an outsider's view, rather than delving into why Nick was being such a grump. It had to be him, though; I couldn't really see Greg getting bent out of shape until Nick was gone at least a week, and that's a long time to be away from their job. Though I guess I could have sent him to a conference or a family emergency.

Anyway, the follow-up is Nick, but I've only got three paragraphs so far.

I'm eagerly awaiting the follow-up! I'm sorry to give you a difficult prompt. I had no idea it would be so for you. Still, it was well done. I hope we learn more about Ray in the canon future. He fasinates me.

Oh, that's alright. The challenge is good for me every once in awhile. Plus, I am obviously quite taken with Ray, so it was sort of fun.

Oh, I love that image. It's just - so Nick and so adorable and I am all wanting to go back and watch old episodes now. ♥ I really liked getting to see it from an outside perspective - that's always interesting.
