I was feeling kind of woe-is-me last night, but then I went to my sister's house and both her kids climbed up onto my lap for unsolicited snuggles and that made me feel a lot better. Then we drank wine and watched Hot Fuzz on my sister's big screen, which is actually the first time I'd ever seen it outside of my iPod, so that was awesome too.

This. This is the smile I was trying to describe. I just love the way he smiles. And moves his arms. And breathes in general. Good God, how did I get sucked back in so hard? How?? I know this show is gonna break my heart again and then I'll hate myself. It's like a bad boyfriend, Liz.
Anyway! Vinnie is the reason to watch Doogie Howser, as far as I'm concerned. I mean, I love me some NPH, but Max Casella stole that show. He really, really did. And he was a little in love with Doogie!
(My first slash experience was, of course, My Bodyguard. It came out in 1980, the year I turned eight. I started pretty young myself.)
The Deadliest AU is the most fucked up idea I have ever had, I think, but it's SO. FUN. And yes, that was Josh and Jake making out behind the building! I was going to make it more obvious, but then I didn't, because I'm lazy. I like the idea of Avery not feeling alone, but I also like the idea of him maybe having a friend or two out there. So maybe they will take him under their wing at some point. This universe happens completely by accident, so you never know.
