*I* don't even know what I'm talking about.
I get the feeling Anthony Bourdain thinks he looks better without a shirt than he really does.
This time of year people on my friends list start talking about Yuletide, getting excited about prompts and writing and it makes me want to sign up again. I did the first two years, after all, so I know that I can. I even fulfilled another request during New Year's Resolutions for a girl on my friends list who never read it. (That's the only fic I ever wrote that no one read. Claim to fame? Probably not.) Anyway, every year people get excited, and I remember how fun Yuletide was before the obscure fandom list got even more obscure than it already was, and I start to think, "Maybe this year I should go for it. It'll be fun."
But then I remember how much fic I've actually written this year (not much) and how much of it was any good (none) and I come to my senses. So this is me, going on record, purely for my own benefit. No Yuletide. ::sigh:: I guess I still miss being an active part of fandom. It was always so much shinier than boring old real life. But the only fandom I want to read is Brotherhood II, and no one is going to write that one for me.
Still loving Reaper, though. Not really in a fannish, OMGmustwritetonsoffic way, but more in a 'they are the cutest hetero boyfriends EVAH' way. Plus, I love Benji. I want there to be drunk Ben/Sock fic where Sock's compensating for the fact that Sam doesn't want him, and Ben's just looking for a little affection. Depressing! But I could totally see it. I could also sort of see Sam/The Devil fic if I squint hard enough, but that's just disturbing. Come on, though. Eventually there has to be an episode where they actually visit Hell, and there has to be a whole lot of twisted debauchery going on down there amid all the suffering. At least on the CW's version of Hell.
I don't mind bugs, so last night's episode didn't squick me. I know a lot of people were bothered by all the bugs, but I am lucky not to suffer from that particular affliction. Especially since my yard is really wooded, so I have lots of spiders. LOTS.
None of that was even spoilery, but better safe than sorry. I still need more Reaper icons. Maybe when I get back from vacation.
