Fic: The World Over (Forsaken, Nick/Sean, PG)

Feb 10, 2004 12:24

I have actually been working today. No, for real. But in between proving myself hopelessly inept at troubleshooting computer problems, I wrote a ficlet for the contrelamontre Traveling challenge. And who better to explore the theme of traveling than Nick and Sean?

The World Over. Nick/Sean, PG.

After awhile it all starts to look the same. )

forsaken, fic, fic: forsaken

Yay! Fic! I wish I was more coherent at this point, but I think all my coherency disappeared somewhere in the 75 minute discussion of Whitman and sexuality and "are we building the closet too soon" etc etc. Anyway. Good job.

Coherency is kind of overrated these days. I feel like my head's been run over repeatedly by a truck, so don't worry about it.

Maybe we'd be less inept if we liked our jobs. Then again, I don't even know how to do my job, so that's part of the problem.

As for the fic, thanks. I'm containing my excitement over the fact that you got what I was trying to convey with this thing -- it's always hard to tell if you're getting your point across, and I have a tendency to say too much so I tried to hold back this time and I worried that maybe I was holding back too much. So yay.

I'm all for smut for smut's sake, but there are times when a good PG fic is much more effective in exploring what's going on in a relationship. And nobody wants to have sex on the Greyhound anyway ; )

I *really* liked that. It's tired and exhausted, and so very weary, but... it's hopeful, y'know? It's a really nice post-script to the film. *g*

Thanks, that's what I was going for so I'm glad to hear it worked.

It's Nick/Sean! *squee* Love this. It makes me want to drag out my DVD and skip through all the lame vampire bits. I love your Nick voice. He's just trying so hard not to want more than he thinks he has. *pats Nick* I'm gonna go re-read. I've been going through Forsaken fic withdrawals. Or something. (along with the requisite King and Hamilton I take with me on road trips or plane trips I also take along a binder of your Forsaken slash. With a little crimeslash thrown in. Cause I'm lame and fangirly like that)

Gah. I had no idea. If I'd known I would have made more of an effort to write more decent Forsaken fic. But then again, I can't even manage to finish the Vampire!Sean series, so I probably shouldn't delude myself.

No, no, no. If it wasn't good I wouldn't take it with me. Really. Trust me, I think I spend more time deciding what CDs, books, etc. to take than I do clothes. And taking slash helps me not-deal with the horrors of extended family gatherings. ;)

Not at all. Glad you liked it, although there isn't that much Forsaken fic to be had around here. The little bit I've written is archived on my site, but I write more CSI slash these days than anything.
