(the girl is crafty like ice is cold)

Dilemma: You're about to head off to the Big City for a fabulous girls' weekend of drinking and NEWSIES ON BROADWAY BITCHES. But the stylish denim skirt you got on super clearance from Nordstrom is just a little too snug at the moment! What to do?

You drag out the several yards of denim you've had lying around forever and whip yourself up a fashionable skirt, of course. But plain old denim skirts are boring, right? So instead of the same old a-line you always make, you drag out an old, too-big Yankees t-shirt and make some godets to inset into your denim.

I kind of love it. I mean, obviously. And for once the zipper went in completely straight. I feel as though that is a personal triumph. I'm not supposed to wear it to work because it has writing on it (don't even get me started, for real) but whatever, they can't handle my tourist-chic fashion sensibilities anyway.

And while I'm here, here's a picture of my fuschia hair, since writingpathways really wanted to see it. I dyed it again tonight so it will be pretty faded by the weekend, I'm sure, but that's okay.

(Everybody hangs their laundry in the spare shower, right? Just me?)

And that was my weekend. Also babysitting and grocery shopping and laundry and working out, but none of those things are particularly interesting. Oh, I also spent some time uploading a bunch of old CSI fic to AO3, because that is exactly what I should be wasting my time on three days before I leave town for a week and a half. But 80 of them are posted now, including all the long ones, and I have 30 or so more fics to go. Progress!
