Why, hello again, friend! I'd been wondering if you had an LJ. :)
How are you this lovely evening (or whatever time of day it is in your neck of the woods?)
Thank you so much for your words of support! And seeing as I just out-ed myself on it, I'll definitely be posting it for realz, yo. Alas, it is angsty (I imagine my angst meme prompter would be pretty annoyed if it wasn't, lol) but it DOES have a happy ending! Because as I have recently discovered, I am incapable of writing unhappy ones! <3
What is the thing about the anon postings on memes? I read the Kurt Hummel got Married, Fell In Love, etc. and someone mentioned how weird that people were de-anonning (or whatever it's called). Is there a rule that people are only supposed to Fill and Comment anonymously on the kink/angst/whatever memes?
God, I'm so sorry that's rambly. Soooooo sleep deprived. Going to bed.
It's not a rule, no, and plenty of people post and comment under their usernames. It's just that A LOT of the kinks are really extreme and people are way too embarrassed to admit that they A) are writing them and B) are reading them. And some people anon because they think it's more fun or adventurous, I suppose.
I shan't lie, I've filled some kink meme prompts anonymously; it allows me the freedom to fill ALL the BDSM prompts I want without being known as "that crazy chick on the comm who writes about spanking non-stop!" (And in fact, this angst meme prompt also involves.. *sigh*.. spanking, although it's a VERY different take on it from my usual).
As for the angst meme, I guess there's just a certain level of embarrassment that comes from saying, "I'd REALLY like to see a fic where Mercedes has cancer and then Kurt is killed by a falling light fixture when he's in the hospital visiting her." (Because really - you'd LIKE to see that??)
That makes a lot of sense. I usually only go over to the meme sites when somebody recs something, and I find the threading tough to follow, so I haven't really poked around them much. The kinks I've read seemed sort of mild, and I didn't realize there were some really extreme ones there.

*snort* Laughing my ass off! Yeah, when you put it that way, I'd prolly anon, too. *snickers* I wonder how many prompts are genuine and how many are from people just Making Shit Up.
Thanks for explaining. I really didn't get it, and now I do.

Hopefully that made some semblance of sense!
