Serves me right for doing things early for once.

All my rooms were stuffed with all the move-in packets for new residents, including RICs (which take forever), welcome packets from the department, etc etc etc.  We went to dinner, and it started to rain while we were there.  Hard.  But we didn't think twice about it, except that it was gonna suck to go back to the car.  Until we got a call from one of our GRs saying that the rain had come in through all the windows (the seams, they weren't even open) and that one side of all the AB halls (that's my hall for those of you playing along at home) was flooded.  At first I thought  "how bad could it be?"

Oh if I only knew.

There was water covering all the floors, dressers and desks.  All my packets were soaked.  So we had to run through the halls with pig pads, mops and get all the folders out, salvalge what we could, and mop up every thing.  The only good part about all this was that my room was ok.  A little bit of water on the long part of my desk, but none near my computer or pictures or anything important.

So now RICs have to be recopied (which is a pain in the BUTT), and we have to restuff all the folders, and set up the rooms again.  Only problem with the folders is that a lot of those were things we only had so many copies of, and we're not sure if we have enough time to get them done again.

Oh well...I guess that proves I should go back to procrastinating.
