School's Almost Done...

Ok, so I seriously think the past 24 hours have been some of the BEST times I have had at UGA/in Athens. It's been great, and it's all been so close together.

So Friday night, I went to the Alpha Kappa Lambda date night with Josh (a guy I work with), and we had SUCH a good time. We went with some of his pledge brothers & their dates to dinner at Hilltop Grille (which, for those of y'all in Athens, is an absolutely fabulous restaraunt...good to go to with parents). It was really good, and we just hung out, had a good meal and talked for a while before we headed down to the Arch Bar (where the actual date night was at). They were having 1.50 domestics, so we basically sat at the bar, drank a bunch of beer, I met a lot of his fraternity brothers, who were all really nice. I didn't know too many AKL's before last night, just Josh, Jesse and Duck, so it was cool to get to know more of them. So we hung out there till about 12.30, and then we were going to head to the Loft to check it out, because we wanted to see how they turned super-sketchy Annex into a supposedly nice upscale bar, but before we got there we ran into some other guys who had left the Arch and were headed to Budda Bar, so we decided to tag along. Akward moment of the night - running into Grace & Kristina (2 of my residents) at Budda. They freaked out "OH MY GOD, THAT'S MY RA!!!" And I pretty much did the same, it was funny. But as soon as we got to the bar, Josh and I each did a Kill Bill and then we got a pitcher of beer and hung out there for a while. It was really loud and getting crowded though, so we peaced out and headed to Allgood, where it was free pool night. Had we been remotely sober, this would have been fabulous. But we weren't, so it was just hilarious. We played against these two really good guys, and got DESTROYED because I'm only mediocre when I haven't been drinking for over 5 hours ;) Finally, after a few pretty funny rounds of pool, we decided to take the hike back to C-Well, and we just passed out when we got here. He got up kind of early this morning and left, because he was worried they were going to boot his car downtown because he has like, $40 of outstanding Athens-Clarke parking tickets (to put that into perspective...the tickets are $3 each). But I kept sleeping, and then woke up only to realize it was reading day with NO CLASS :)

So at about 3, my lovely ladies in the V4+ met up (except for Erin...because she actually studied on reading day! - We heart you!) and we were planning on going out to Yargo to paddleboat. So we were super excited, got all the way out there...only to be told they don't rent out paddleboats during the week until school lets out for the summer. WAY sad. So we played around on the beach for a bit, and then we were driving back, and we saw the actual Fort Yargo...basically a tiny 2 story, 1 room shack. We thought it would be the best thing ever to go play in it, and it actually was. We took about 84,000 pictures in there, and just goofed off, because that's actually what we do best. I LOVE those girls. Plans are made for actual paddleboating at Brooke's house the last day we're all in town. It's going to be amazing. So then on the way back we made a pit stop at Hodgson's for 50 cent ice cream, before headed back - where I promptly met with Ann & Amanda to go to Inoko Express for dinner, where we had some HILARIOUS conversation, and discovered that everything is funnier when you say it in Yoda speak. Example:
"Study Ann must"
"Fuck you! No...YOU FUCK!"

Ahhh, I'm going to miss everyone SO MUCH. I don't know what I'm going to do when it's the 10th and I have to walk through everyone's empty rooms with Peggy. I'd put money on the fact that I'm going to be a tearful mess.
