Christmas Gifts for Nick

OOC: Muse is doing gifts posts for all her friends and family, but this is early because Nick's mun is going away and won't be around.

Throughout the day, Carolina had surprised Nick here and there with framed photographs of him and the kids, as well as a photo album that had all kinds of pictures that Segei, Bane and Marco had taken when he wasn't looking. There were pictures of him and Sara playing pat a cake, of him and Dwee watching football, and pictures of him helping Lizzie roller blading. They even got pictures of Carolina and Nick kissing under the mistletoe, and catching the tree before it could fall over in the living room. She knew that when they were apart, he could put the pictures on his desk and around his place, and it would make him smile.

Caro had bought real Amish quilts for Nick's parents and his brother's and sister's family gifts. Each child was given a gift certificate to a music or toy store, for those little things that they didn't get. Kids like to shop, maybe get a CD or game to go with a new gift.

When it came time to give Nick his gifts, she started with some cute little rubber ducks, with even one to remind him of Dwee. She also gave him a thick Egyptian terry robe. When Carolina had bought the Amish quilts, she set this one aside just for Nick, because she thought he might like the leaves and the colors. And if that didn't warm him up, he might like this little item, which she wrapped up with a giggle and put his name on.

But it was the smallest box that held the biggest gift. The DVD was a video tour of one of the premium suites at Ford Field that she had reserved for Nick and up to twenty five other people for Super Bowl Sunday. It was extravagant, but not terribly so. She also reserved rooms at a hotel, nearby. There would be food, and the game, and he could bring his friends or family or coworkers. It was practical, logical, fun and something she really hoped he would love. She bit her lip, nervously, as he opened it when they were alone. His love of the game made her want to really do something special for him, and she hoped he would like it.

christmas, nick
