I have a very strong relationship to this song for many reasons. But I also think Dave will be feeling this way at some point. Wanting to move on but not being able to because Kurt simply refuses to give him his heart back.

Shakira seem to be my go to artist when it comes to Kurt and Dave. But this song is perfect for Dave as he is about now. He just needs to know that there are better times ahead. That there is something to look forward to.

Come on, it is a song about pirates. More or less. I just really like the metaphor. It is cheesy but not. And so smooth.

He is my favorite author in the world. And this song seems to be written for Dave to sing to Kurt. Because he may not be perfect but maybe he could be the best not good thing that ever happened to him. Who knows, right?

If you don’t take the lyrics too literally it is the perfect song for Kurt to sing to Dave. Most songs I connect with them are from Dave’s perspective but this one is just a wonderful fit for Kurt - voice and lyric wise. Because I think Kurt has the capacity to adore Dave the way he needs.

I love this song. I think it would suit Dave’s voice beautifully. It speaks so wonderfully about how unexpected it was for Dave to find love and to be so happy. Unexpected but welcomed.
