ah, may 20 is soo far away
so, im beyond excited for my new york mun trip, haven & i have been talking about it all day long & have been making plans to prepare (we're in the same commitee), & what to wear. so i am way excited...i cant wait for may 20, new york WILL be amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
so here's my day...woke up late, decided not to straighten hair, quickly got ready, went to school, spanish=boring. in mun usually we decide who get what comitee through senority(older kids get first dibs), so anyways, i mentioned that was the best way to give out topics because as a freshman, i got crappy topics. but no, some little freshman goes, "we did that last time, its not fair!"....not fair my ass! upperclassman have deserved the right to get the good topics....everyone in the club who has been in it at least 2 years knows that senority is the best way to pick topics because the underclassman have more opportunities to get better ones. so one of the club advisors decided that the upperclassman have "abused" their rights as upperclassman. that's crap, the upperclassman hardly talk to the underclassman and if we do, we're civil, we dont "abuse our rights".....so we had to pick numbers, haven & i got 3 out of 5, we really wanted the narcotic trade topic because ukraine (our country) has so much influence in the drug market, so the first person goes, and picks a different topic (yay!), so one of the teachers hears haven & i complaing about how retarded it was that we were picking numbers, so she let us go second & pick before the complaining freshman got to pick (HA! she was # 2 & probably wanted our topic)....so haven & i are very happy with it...when haven was telling people in the club why she wanted the topic she said, "at mun camp, i did narcotics" as in she did the topic not the drugs, but it was funny...so then i had math which wasnt bad, i got all my homework for that class. then history, the first 20 min, sneha & i talked about mun & what needs to change, which i think is a lot. so then i took my quiz, i know i failed. then we did a computer project that i didnt finish...whoops. so then i had lunch, haven & i talked some more about mun & new york, we both REALLY WANT TO WIN BEST DELEGATION, so we're starting today on research, because the more info you know, the more comfortable you are at the simulation, the better you do. & we also thought of a few ideas of how to get the club more involved (keep in mind neither of us are president, vice pres, or anything like that), so we talked to one of the club advisors and SHE LOVED OUR IDEAS and is going to help us with them!!!! so i was very happy. then ihad study hall, i did lots and lots of research for mun, im going to try really hard to get best delegation....getting it at such a large simulation will look AMAZING on my college aps & it will be such an accomplishment. so then i had enviro, we watched a movie, so instead of napping, i read the background research on my topic for mun, which is Building partnerships to address the world drug problem. i also made a shopping list & a to-do lists, i love making lists....so then i left school, stopped by at cvs, & went home. then i did homework & took an amazing 2 hour long nap, so im very happy. then i had dinner & my mom took me to office depot so i can start organizing my mun papers, i already have so much! i also got a new sat vocab prep novel, they are so dorky, but so good! then i came home & organized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one of my fave things to do...im a loser, yes i know.
things to buy:
1. black pants
2. cute pink & white striped button down shirt @ bananna republic (for mun outfit)
3. black pumps (for mun)
4. blue paper tablets, one regular size and one small size (for mun so i look professional)
5. cute sunglasses
6. black accordian fold buffalo skirt
7. headbands, pony tail holders, hair clips, barrets, etc.
8. earings, i lost one today..:(
9. laptop case, mine doesnt fit my old one
10. nail polish, red perhaps
11. cute accessories that will make the mun chairperson of my committee give me best delegation
12. yellow paper
13. new glasses, mine are too weak & look bad
14. nude fishnets, according to lucky mag, they're "in"
15. eye shadow
16. flip flops
i have decided i am going to spend all my money on clothes, seeing that the majority of my clothes are blue shirts, white shirts, grey skirts, blue skirts, and kaki skirts (my uniform), so suggestions as to what to buy are appriciated...
