The way Carobet must be described sounds, at first, nondescript: brown eyes, brown hair, average height, average build. But there is something in the way that each of these features work together that make Carobet herself anything but nondescript; striking is a better word. Her hair, far from mousy, is a rich chestnut brown, long and thick. Her eyes are framed by high-arched brows and dark lashes, and are often accented with kohl. She carries herself with a high, proud carriage that expresses confidence and no lack of self-assurance.
But she is not Carobet tonight. Instead, she is clothed in a gown of flowing silver sisal, which dives deep in a ‘V’ in the front that would make a Holder girl blush to wear. A wide gold sash around her waist ties in a bow at the small of her back, and a sheer gold veil recasts the color of her brown hair, held in place with small combs. Her face is mostly covered by a gold masque, with celestial shapes decorating the area near the eyes and the very edges.
The note that was by no means actually sent:
Dear Alex,
I got myself all dolled up just so you'd see me dressed up like a star, but noooo, you had already left the festivities by the time I had arrived. All that hard work and clever costuming ideas gone to waste. Get your act together, mister.
