ice storm!
so we had a moster ice storm wednesday night, resulting in the cancellation of our last exam yesterday. and also the loss of power at 10:00 yesterday morning. elana and i were both bored and cold so she came over to entertain me...and keep me warm -sly face- so me, elana, and ben went to lunch and best buy and then we came back here and just kinda...sat around and talked. yeah. fun stuff. but we decided to go see pride and prejudice and happened to sit right in front of lara and caryn...so we moved back to their row and sufficiently annoyed caryn with our talking. anyway elana's parents ended up going to a hotel in charlotte so she spent the night.
and this morning after sleeping for like...12 hours we hung around some more but eventually went to her house...just in case it had power. which of course it didn't. but she had to feed her cats and go to the gym anyway. but casey called and informed us that he had power so we didn't hesitate to go over there. it was really bizarre because his house is EXACTLY like this one i babysit at. i mean...literally the exact same blueprints. it's freaky. but anyway then we went to narnia at the mall and it was pretty good but quite a bit cheesy at times. as in...so cheesy i had to cry out in protest.
and now our english exam has been postponed until AFTER christmas break...which kinda sucks... it's true that i am extremely tired of exams and am glad i didn't have to take this last one right now...but now i'm going to do horribly on it after the break because i'll have forgotten all the details and of course i won't be able to concentrate right after we get back. i'd rather have taken it yesterday and just gotten it over with. oh well. nothing i can do.
