Press release: The 3rd Annual Naked Desert shoot Message List

The Naked Desert 2006 Photo Art Project
The Naked Desert Team is now selecting participants for a unique
opportunity to participate in a large-scale art project. Invitations
began June 1st and are continuing throughout the month of July until
the cast list is full.
So what exactly is "The Naked Desert"? The Naked Desert Project (now
in its 3rd year!) is an all-night event (5:00pm to 7:00am) in the
High Desert Area of Southern California that will take place starting
July 22nd, 2006. Participants of all shapes and sizes are encouraged
to come out and disrobe for the evening, for the purpose of being
photographed in this celebration of the diversity of the human body.
This event is the brain child of Art Director Carnyval of Savage
Arts, and will be photographed by award-winning photographer Richard
Rasner of Nakayama Studios.
Requirements: Full nudity is not required, but it is certainly
encouraged. We are looking for an even mix of males and females over
the age of 18 who are willing to sign a photographic release form for
the images. It is important to note that participants ONLY will have
access to the finished images, which will never be for sale or
display to the public. So if you are the shy about being published
type, but you enjoy being naked, this may be the event for you.
Touching of others without consent is strictly forbidden at this
event, and any sexual contact within the shoot area (even with
consent) is also grounds for removal from the site. This is a photo
art project, above all. Photos will be taken of individuals, couples,
groups, etc. : smiling, doing cartwheels, holding hands, embracing
and so on. In the past few years' events, special shooting times
were set aside for sunset photography, blacklight body painting and
other creative ideas.
Interested? To be considered for this project you need to contact the
Art Director (carnyval@hotmail.com) and/or the Photographer
(mn_detective@yahoo.com) with the subject "The Naked Desert" and tell
them how you heard about the project and that you are interested in
participating. You will be added to the e-mail list and asked to fill
out a small bio about yourself. Once they've screened your
application, you'll may be invited to join the official cast list.
There is NO FEE to participate in this project but there is NO
COMPENSATION, either. Participants should do this for the love of art.
