Whether people are in it for the wrong reasons or not, at least people are actually starting to give a shit. It's just one more person you have on your side. Saying you'll become an "activist later" so you "won't get mistaken for those nerds" is incredibly selfish and makes it appear like you're in it for the wrong reasons. If you really cared, you wouldn't give a shit about whether poeple thought it was "cool" or not.

very true but how can i help if everyones doing it for all the wrong reasons and the wrong way? as you said thats why im doing it. i would like to be an activist, i could probably take that a far , but just standing on a street corner holding up signs that have discharge lyrics on it isnt going to do much. im selfish when im just waiting for the right time to make a difference? im not going to do it before its too late, but i will do something, and its not going to involve discharge

hey, this is annie. i just wanted to say that i am starting a collective, and am going to try to set up a bike club. I am starting a womens rights group.. we are going to meet 2 times a month in orlando and also have a womens studies book club. I also am going to be volunteering at harbor house.. i thought id just tell you that other girls are doing things as well.

oh awesome, well i wont be here in florida for too much longer because im moving back to philly, PA, and im going to make one up there, and also one in maryland because ill be going there alot, too. I dont really know anyone here in florida, just a couple people, havent been here that long, so i didn't know if there was one or anything and i havent heard of any. but thats cool, id like to go to one of yr meetings once, where are they held?
