I love you / And I love this town

Hello all! Things are good lately, and this weekend was just as nice as I'd been hoping and looking forward to. Friday after work I completed Early Voting, so that's something important taken care of. Saturday I picked up and started my new birth control, which will hopefully not cause this stupid weight gain that the Depo has been causing. We'll have to wait and see. As of today, day three, my body is going OMG WHY IS THERE SO MUCH MORE ESTROGEN IN ME WHAT IS GOING ON HOW DO I ADJUST TO THIS NEW DEVELOPMENT? I sure hope it figures that out soon. Friday was also the three-month mark for Erich and me! We are so happy right now; seriously, it is awesome. So awesome! We are in that stage where it is likely that we are making everyone around us want to puke with our cuteness. I THINK THIS STAGE IS FABULOUS. Anyway, back to this weekend!

Erich and I spent the whole weekend together, it was absolutely fabulous. Friday night we watched Cache, a French movie that we had high hopes for because the preview had been so intriguing (and come on, when was the last time you saw a bad French film? I'd never seen one. The French can take the most boring and idiotic idea for a movie ever, and somehow the movie will be fabulous). My world, however, was shattered, I tell you, shattered. The movie was so incredibly disappointing, and Erich and I were completely indignant about it. It committed what is, in my opinion, one of the most greivous sins a movie is capable of: it just stopped. It didn't have an ending, it just went on for over two hours and then rolled the credits for some reason. Saturday we woke up early, had breakfast, and then went down to Planned Parenthood to get my new birth control, and also to get tested. After that, we both got our hair cut, and then went to Yum Yum Cha for dim sum. We spent a good chunk of time playing Final Fantasy 7 at my place, then we had a romantic dinner at Macaroni Grill. On Sunday we slept in, which was nice. Erich spent some time on the phone with JR, who's in Afghanistan right now, and had given him a call. We had "breakfast" at House of Pies, then went back to my place where we bumbled about for a bit before watching some Buffy. Nathan joined us, and we watched Buffy and Angel and had a grand old time!

It is possible that my being in such a good mood is annoying, but you will just have to deal with that.
