Had a really great time at WonderCon in SF. Its a 3 day geek fest: comics, anime, gaming..you name it. Saw some great movie clips for the next Resident Evil movie ( and got to see Allie Later from Heroes..serious hotness), saw the Suicide Girls, and all sorts of costumes. K, L and I had a ball.
Scored some great swag--including a really cool book of photographs. Its hard to explain, but its various photographs of women retouched with various photo manipulation filters. Some are half-mechanical, some horric..its darkly erotic. I got to meet one of the models and the photographer and have them sign my book.
L and I gave blood; K was going to but she has smallish viens and they didnt have the correct guage of needles. I got selected for a special process where they separate out the red cells and return the plasma to your body. They will use the two units I gave for people undergoing cancer treatment.
The highlight for me, being a nut about the new Battlestar Galactica show on SciFi, was to meet Richard Hatch. He played Apollo on the original series and Tom Zarek on the new one. He gave a very interesting talk on whats coming up for the new season and had some interesting comments on being in show business. A genuinely nice guy!
