As a few of you know, I have been in the process of getting a new cell phone. I found a great deal at Amazon.com on a Blackberry Pearl 8100. Its a "smartphone"--does internet, email and all the cell phone goodness. Tmobile has already switched my number over. Not a problem, because according to UPS and Amazon, my phone would be here today.
Fast forward to 5pm today...I get home and no phone. Pull up UPS website, and see that my phone has been logged as "security delay by govt agency" at 5:28pm---fucking nice of them to let me know at the last minute. Oh, did I mention that their pick-up location closes at 6? Fucking assholes...their customer service rep tried to tell me they just found out about the security check at 5:27pm. What a bunch of bull...
I might get my phone on Monday, maybe, since UPS--naturally--is closed over the weekend. I'm thinking about just calling Amazon and TMobile and telling them I changed my mind. What really chaps my hide in the end, is that UPS failed to mention this would even be a possibility. I would be even more pissed if I had paid for shipping--luckily TMobile waived the shipping charges. Now *there* is a company that understands customer service.
