Things have been rather boring around here. Without a research paper or two to write, I feel that my life is pointless. At least graduation will be over soon. Then I'll get to go home for a week and play with fluffy mufflekins.

After the AAC internship fell through, I've been busily applying to various organizations in Worcester. So far Planned Parenthood, AIDS Project Worcester, Main South Community Development Center, and the Regional Environmental Council have received applications from yours truly. David Coyne knows people at REC (his wife) and APW (synagogue member), so my emails/phone calls to them have dropped his name rather judiciously. I spoke with Jason Zelesky, who is dean of student health or something along those lines at Clark, last Friday. He is on the regional board for Planned Parenthood and told them to keep an eye out for my application. Something good should come from all of this. Preferably soon, so I can stop worrying so much about it.

My computer died died the other day. The motherboard took a fatal electrostatic shock and the whole thing is kaput. So much for the $100 I spent on the new hard drive and RAM. At least I'll have a spare hard drive lying around if I need it.

I ordered a Dell this morning. I know it's possible to get better equipment, but their prices are hard to beat. Here are the important specs:
CPU: AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-50
RAM: 1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 2 Dimm
Hard drive: 60GB

About the only really good thing to happen to me in the last week or so is my grades.
Astronomy: A
Major American Writers II: A-
Gender and Health: A-
Honors Thesis: A-

I'm a little sad that I didn't get a full A in MAW, but I'm totally surprised that Ellen Foley gave me an A- in Gender and Health. She seems like the kind of professor who doesn't give out As of any kind too often. I was expecting a B at the very most. I'm not sure what an A- on my Honors Thesis means. I can assume that that is not Highest Honors, but does it qualify as High Honors or just regular Honors? No one seems to know. Anyway, my grades this semester are just enough to maintain a 3.8 cumulative GPA, which means that I get to graduate summa cum laude. Woot.

Oh yeah, and my mother bought me some nice boots. They hurt my feet right now, but some day they will be truly awesome.

That's all I have to report for now. Peace.
