In the western world, it's the opposite : Those who loved this show, stays, but those who don't, they flocked to this anime : Ore no Imouto wa konna ni Kawaii wake ga nai (My Sister Can't be This Cute - short formed "Oreimo"). So literally both of the anime is competing with each other now.
Like I couldn't care less. I enjoyed both of them, at different levels.
Star Driver's direction is very odd for the first episode, and highly reminds me of Code Geass because of the pacing. But thanks to the first episode it is now safe to say that Mamoru Miyano takes the position as the bishie-est guy (self proclaimed, nonetheless...) of the UNIVERSE.
This season looks promising. AIC is on fire now (Sora no Otoshimono and Oreimo), Gainax is being "rebellious" again (as usual), J.C.Staff is holding their trump card for Index season 2, Bones's Star Driver is going smoothly, Diomedia is going to pull out another famous manga series "Ika no Musume" on air later on TV.
This season is promising.

STAR DRIVER OMG. I CANNOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY, though I personally think they didn't make it to be taken seriously. GALACTIC PRETTY BOY WHAT?
I was looking for this season's list of anime but the for the life of me I couldn't find it XD;
